AED-SICAD and Geocom both develop vertical software solutions to a variety of market segments including utilities, cadaster, local governments, industry and logistics. Under the previous ownership of Esri Deutschland GmbH Geocom has reached a leading market position in these market segments. All assets, people and customer contracts of Geocom AG in Switzerland and Geocom GmbH in Germany will be acquired, and it is intended to merge the businesses. The newly merged business may eventually operate under a new brand, which will be decided upon soon.
