Enerjisa in Turkey is the Largest Electricity Distribution Customer using GEONIS electricity
Enerjisa provides electricity distribution services to around 20 million people in 14 provinces and pursues a pioneering role in electricity distribution with technology and efficiency focused investments and distribution operations targeting improved service quality.
Enerjisa performed the first electricity distribution privatization in the Turkish electricity sector, with the takeover of Başkent Electricity Distribution Co. Inc. (Başkent EDAŞ) in 2009. With the acquisition of the Istanbul Anatolian Side Electricity Distribution Company (AYEDAŞ) and the Toroslar Electricity Distribution Company in 2013, Enerjisa reached over 20% market share in the Turkish electricity distribution sector.
Toroslar EDAŞ distributes electricity to approximately 7.7 million people in the Toroslar electricity distribution region. Toroslar provides approximately 12.5 tWh electricity over 76,603 km of power lines. AYEDAS, on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, distributes 10 million kWh of electricity over 18.500 km distribution power lines.
In 2014, Baskent EDAŞ decided to use GEONIS Electricity for maintaining their electricity distribution network. In 2015, the system covered all the GIS related workflows of Baskent EDAŞ to maintain their electricity network and put into production. A successful implementation and powerful solution was executed by the company Universal Information Technology. The solution has now been extended to maintain the network in the AYEDAŞ and Toroslar EDAŞ regions through the implementation of Enerjisa employees. Enerjisa is the largest electricity distribution customer using GEONIS electricity to maintain their electricity assets worldwide.
Enerjisa operates 88 GEONIS electricity expert workstations and a 24 Core based GEONIS server environment.
